Not Even a Legend’s Spot in the Starting Five was Secure, Why Sould Perk’s be?

Not Even a Legend’s Spot in the Starting Five was Secure, Why Sould Perk’s be?

In March of 1985, the world champion Boston Celtics were nearing the playoffs and ready to defend their crown. A rematch had been scheduled by the media for the Celtics to again face the LA Lakers in what was fast becoming a string of events that would throw the NBA world into reminiscing about the [...]

Ripping Off a Piece of the Big Ticket

Ripping Off a Piece of the Big Ticket

I don’t know about you, but sometimes I find myself stuck in a rut. While I’m a huge fan of routine, there are times when I feel more like a robot than a person, and that leads to the one thing I’m most afraid of  - complacency. I would rather die than be complacent. I’d rather [...]

How to Be Friends With Your Sports Enemies

How to Be Friends With Your Sports Enemies

A lot of people ask me…stupid effing questions.  One of them might be, “Did you remember to wrap up?”  Another one is often, “Why does Doc Rivers continue to lean on his ‘starters have never lost a series’ crutch after losing a player who had been ineffective for six games for one game in which [...]

My Delonte Dilemma
September 5, 2010 by Nick Gelso

My Delonte Dilemma

Never really seeing any reality in it, I had been quoted as saying that I would not mind a return trip to Boston for West. Now I really had to scour my comments and decide if Delonte coming back is a good move for the Celtics growing group therapy session.

CLNS: Labor Day Special with Tas Melas and More!

Tas from the Basketball Jones will be joining us again to discuss the looming preseason. We will be previewing the NBA as a whole and also reviewing how the Celtics scored on their off-season report card.
Then… Tim Povtak, staff writer for AOL Fanhouse, will be joining Brandon and Nick on Monday night for what is sure to be a very entertaining episode of The Celtics Late Night Show. Tim recently wrote an article for FanHouse about the Celtics off-season moves, and went as far as to say the Celtics are “scared to death” of what’s going on in South Beach.

Where Does Delonte Fit In Now?
September 3, 2010 by Lee Herman

Where Does Delonte Fit In Now?

Oh Delonte, Delonte, Delonte.  No, that isn’t a quote from Gloria James, it’s my mock exasperation about his signing.  There was a time when he racked up Tommy Points on a lackluster team and was probably the second best player on the team during his 05-06 sophomore season. Unfortunately, he was moved to the two [...]

Celtics to sign Delonte West

Celtics to sign Delonte West

If there is something the 2010-2011 Boston Celtics will lack this upcoming season, it sure won’t be a lack of personalities. With the Boston Herald reporting the Celtics have signed Delonte West to a non-guaranteed deal, bringing back the guard they drafted in 2004 draft with the 24th overall pick. West spent three seasons with the Celtics where he averaged 12.3 and 11.8 PPG in his best two years.

John Wall Gets Crossed Up By Rivers
August 31, 2010 by Lee Herman

No, not good all Doc but his offspring Austin.  Little Rivers may have been riding high after getting ranked as the number one high school prospect in the nation by Rivals.com heading into the opening day of the Boost Mobile Elite 24 camp.  It seems like there is a new camp we hear about every [...]
