Glen Davis Out 6-8 Weeks with Hand Injury
October 26, 2009 by Nick Gelso
According to Boston.com, Glen Davis injured has hand in an altercation with a friend at his home on Monday. He is expected to miss an extended period of time. Possibly as much as 6-8 weeks, if surgery is required.
Danny Ainge told the media on Monday,
“I am not making a public statement until we have all of the facts relative to the injury,” Ainge said. “We sent him for a scan and further tests. It looks like he’s going to be out for a while.”
Doc Rivers told the media that Davis showed up for practice, complaining about pain in his hand and he was sent for test.
This is very disheartening to me. This team is already being described as “fragile” because if it’s aging nucleus and cannot afford meaningless (non basketball related) injuries such this hand injury by “Big Baby”. This is the kind of nonsense I would expect from Tony Allen, not a guy that has become a key member of our roster.
Davis did not accompany his team to Cleveland today.
Upsetting.
