Your Tommy-Quote of the Day…

“If the coaches don’t vote Antoine Walker into the AllStar Game, I’m going to shoot all the coaches … “

“If I was playing in this game, [Brad] Miller would not be walking around!”

Headlines from around the league…

Ball Don’t Lie: Behind the box score, where the C’s outclassed the Bulls

Dwyer’s take on last night’s game. His game chat was very entertaining, albeit laggy, but he says it won’t happen again. Worth checking out in the future.

New Jersey Star Ledger: In Nets’ 107-91 loss to Pacers, NJ Nets’ Devin Harris complains about ‘lack of direction’ in huddle

A pretty bleak look at the Nets, including quotes from several players toughing on the notion of the team being divided. Which is a nice lead in to…

NorthJersey.com: Nets’ boss tells his players to chill

I can’t really disagree with Thorn here. While I relish any chance to garner more insight into a team or its individual players, using the media as a method of venting strikes me as a bit underhanded. We saw a lot of if in the Larry Brown / Allen Iverson relationship, and that still leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Devin Harris doesn’t really need to tell us the team has problems – it’s pretty evident to anyone with half a brain. Keep the specifics in house, champ.

The Baseline: Sunday morning shootaround

League Pass subscribers should check out the Cavs/Thunder game today. Durant is having a monster season scoring-wise, but has also really improved his +/- stats.

Kate Fagan (76ers beat writer) on Twitter: AI did not practice, 55 ccs of fluid drained from lf knee. Day-to-day.

I was all pumped up to head to the Garden Friday night to see The Answer against the C’s, so hopefully this isn’t something that lingers.
