Celtics to sign Delonte West

If there is something the 2010-2011 Boston Celtics will lack this upcoming season, it sure won’t be a lack of personalities. With the Boston Herald reporting the Celtics have signed Delonte West to a non-guaranteed deal, bringing back the guard they drafted in 2004 draft with the 24th overall pick. West spent three seasons with the Celtics where he averaged 12.3 and 11.8 PPG in his best two years.

Coming to terms with “The Loss”

Coming to terms with “The Loss”

It has been 71 days, 1,680 Hours, 100,800 Minutes, and over 6 Million seconds since “The Loss”. June 17,2010 was by far the worst day in my 20 1/2 years of living, as it was for a great majority of Celtics fans. Four points, a 3-14 game from one of the best shooters to ever play, holding Kobe Bryant to 6-24. There are countless parts of this one game that can drive a Celtics fan mad when they see just how close we came to witnessing championship number 18. It is a night I would love to forget but sadly never will.

No Rondo on the National Team? No Problem.

No Rondo on the National Team? No Problem.

I once had a job with a fast food chain which will remain anonymous for the sake of modesty and brand protection.  One day, after my shift at the end of the evening, I discovered that my register was short enough to result in instant termination.  So I filled it full of Big Mac and Filet [...]

Perk-dicament

Perk-dicament

If there is one question that always comes up in conversation about the Celtics this off season, it’s what is Boston going to do when Kendrick Perkins returns from injury in February? There are many different options that get bandied about that can lead to some pretty heated discussions.  The pro-Perk camp says that the [...]

My Life As A Celtics Fan
August 22, 2010 by Nick Sannicandro

My Life As A Celtics Fan

Most Celtics fans fit into one of two categories . The first, those who grew up in the Russell or Bird Era , always saw championships and have been a fan for life. The other is the group of young fans that really only began following the team once Kevin Garnett was brought aboard. The vets and the band wagoners, thats what makes up the “New Garden” these days. I however many times have found myself asking where I fit in regards to this grouping.

Boston Celtics: Learning from the Mistakes of 2010

Boston Celtics: Learning from the Mistakes of 2010

Over the last several weeks, various Celtics have been very vocal about the team’s integration of new players. Of course, Shaquille O’Neal is the biggest piece that must fit in well. At USA basketball, Rajon Rondo declared Shaq to be not much different than Perk in the middle and Rondo feels the team’s new big man will not change his style of play at all.
