NSS Flix: The Celtics Lack of Answers is as Discouraging as Their Lack of Effort

The body language, the rhetoric, you name it.. anyway you look at it last night was the worst loss of the Big Three Era. This team resembles a YMCA over 30 rec-league. They have played like losers recently but now they even look (and sound) like losers trying to search for anything to excuse their [...]

Doc Rivers Looking To History to Motivate His Listless Team

Interesting. Very interesting…
As you all know, I am a big NBA history buff and Larry Bird happens to be my all-time favorite athlete. With the Celtics lacking in the focus, intensity and (Celtic) PRIDE area’s, Doc River showed the Larry Bird/Magic Johnson movie yesterday during practice in lieu of the disastrous Cavs game footage.
It’s quite [...]

Celtics, Big Three Return to the Garden Intact Tonight

After two week’s, All-Star Weekend, the trade deadline passing and five games out west, The Boston Celtics return to the Garden tonight. The C’s last game on the parquet stage was February 7th. An uninspired loss on national television to the Orlando Magic left Stan Van Gundy with the confidence to compare Dwight Howard with [...]

Paul Pierce Says He Will Play Tomorrow, Doc Not So Sure

Though the Celtics are still being held back by nagging injuries, the line-up is limping closer to being intact for the first time in the 2009-10 season. Today Paul Pierce told the Boston Globe,
“I feel pretty good, light practice, I’m good to go tomorrow,” Pierce said. “It’s a lot better than it was yesterday, so [...]

Don’t Expect Miracles Because Kevin Garnett’s Back

Don’t Expect Miracles Because Kevin Garnett’s Back

1 – 2 – 3– BREATH!
We can all exhale after holding our breath for eleven games. Without question, I did not expect to go 5-6 in Kevin Garnett’s absence. I did feel the Celtics would inevitably struggle without the Big Ticket but I never expected the team to fall below .500 while the Ticket recovered. [...]

Doc Rivers: The Brilliance of Management through Manipulation

There were points during the Celtics seven game slump in November (3-4) where I thought maybe Doc Rivers was losing control over his team. I know! It’s almost unthinkable that Rivers would lose regulation over a squad he has led to 126-33 record over the last two seasons.
Doc’s guidance has been vital to the maturity [...]

Gabe Pruitt was put on waivers last night. Celtics Blog reported that Gabe was waived to make room for Marquis Daniels on the roster.
Ainge expressed a liking for Pruitt but he felt with Marquis coming in, Pruitt would not get the playing time.
Pruitt displayed a semi reliable jump shot throughout his 47 games last season. [...]

Welcome to Boston Rasheed Wallace!
July 6, 2009 by Nick Gelso

The Boston Globe has reported that Rasheed Wallace will except the Celtics offer of a two year, mid level exception.
As the Celtics 6th man, Rasheed will offer length, three point shooting, great defense and (hopefully) solid play with his back to the basket, not to mention more championship experience.
Rasheed is a hands down pick for [...]
