NBATV is making the Celtics their next stop on their Real Training Camp Tour. Meeting up with the 2008 NBA champs at there training camp home in R.I., NBA.com will broadcast a live feed of the Celtics practice this evening at 7 pm.

NBATV will premier the footage at midnight on October 4th.

Rick Kamla and Andre Aldridge are splitting up the hosting duties with various guest hosts associated with the spotlighted team.

The Lakers and Celtics are, obviously, the premier teams to be spotlighted. I found it fascinating to see “Big Game” James along side Kareem Abdul-Jabbar during the Lakers episode. I actually found myself looking for Worthy and Abdul-Jabbar more then I was looking at the Lakers players. Actually,I must admit that I was trying to see some interaction between Bryant and Artest too – nothing too fascinating there.

Anyway, this evening’s episode features our Boston Celtics. I can’t wait. I’m sure this episode will be replayed 12 times Sunday on NBATV and I will watch all 12 showings, probably without taking a break.

I am especially looking forward to seeing some of the Celtics legends that are sure to be hanging around. “Cornbread” Maxwell is going to give us some comic relief, broadcasting along side of Aldridge. In addition to Maxwell, it will not be out of the question to catch a glimpse of some other Celtics legends lurking around the practice session.

Maybe we’ll see Kevin McHale! Oh yeah, that’s unlikely being he is down in Dallas “playing coach”for the Mavs. Thanks again Kev!
